Ministerial Team
Rev. Dr. Michele F. Parker is a full-connection minister in the New York–Washington Region of the Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church. She accepted her call to the ordained ministry in 1990. Her pastoral ministry began in 1999 and includes: Wesley Chapel, Ebenezer, and Russell Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Churches located throughout Virginia. In 2021, she was appointed to pastor Saint John CME Church in Washington, DC. In addition to Dr. Parker’s local pastoral role, she also serves as the Washington-Virginia District Director of the Board of Christian Education & Formation, as well as the consultant to the New York Washington Region Joint Board of Finance.
Understanding the value of education, Dr. Parker earned several degrees: Bachelor of Science (University of Maryland), Master of Education (Bowie State University), Master of Divinity (Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University), and a Doctor of Ministry (United Theological Seminary). As part of her professional journey, Dr. Parker is a former educator and school administrator. She is also a consultant and a recently published author, with the book “The Hand of God,” which is available on Amazon.
Her inspiring messages of hope, transformation, and empowerment are motivating and sustaining to both young and old. The focus of her ministry is to exemplify the love of Jesus Christ with a passion for encouraging, educating, engaging, and empowering the people of God. It is her desire to develop and multiply disciples to advance the Kingdom of God.
